The power house is a 1996 Corvette LT-4 Crate motor that was purchased new from Ron Tonkin Chevrolet in Portland Oregon. The transmission is a 1995 4-L-60 E, which is controled by an OBD1 computer and wire loom that was programmed by Street & Performance. It includes a custom built Cold-Air intake that is incoporated into the structure of the car; bringing the air in from behind the front bumper through 2 KN Air Filters. The motor was raised 3.5 inches for ground clearance with customations made to the transmissionand axel tunnel as well as the front seats.
The rear end is a 12 bolt positraction with a 4:10 gear ratio. The exhaust is custom built with 4X2.5 oval tubing from the headers to the tips. The front suspension consits of coilovers with rack and pinion stearing, while the Rear suspension are L-79 Mono Leaf springs.
This car took 7 years to complete and was finished in 2013.
Wheels are original 1967 American D-spokes that are widenend to 8 inches in the front and 10 inches in the rear. The rear wheel Tubes were widenned to help accomadate for the 10 inch wheels.
The car includes full heat and airconditioning functionality. The Interior is 100% authentic black leather with color matched painted panels. The instuments are General Motors with the incoporation of four gauges and a Speed-O. There is NO sound system.
This Nova was finished in a custom ONE time mix Charcoal Base with a Flawless Clear Coated Flat Finish. All of the Bright work is O.E.M. with no aftermarket applications. The bumpers were copper blocked 4 times before plating for a Flawless finish. The bottom is rhino lined.
